What you see between the lens and the sheep is my breath, cloudy and rising in the cold air as the picture is snapped. Pneuma, as the Greeks would say it, or ruach as the Hebrews might.

What type of camera do you use? I like the quality of your photos and have been looking for a good digital. I may have asked you this before - I forget.

I use an Olympus D-400 Zoom. It is an early model, no longer available, with only a 1.3 megapixel resolution. Not the greatest for making prints, but still very nice for web work. Here is a review of a linear descendant of my camera still available for sale:

I've also used a Canon A-75 which I gave Susan as a Christmas present. The photos taken Jan. 9 used the Canon. It has a higher resolution and "brighter" color, but I still like the look of the old Olympus.
