Notes from a Hillside Farm; being Musings and Observations on Life, Letters, and our Most Holy Faith, by a Lawyer, Sheep- farmer, and Communicant of the Orthodox Church
I love your pictures. It must be cool living in the Shenandoah. I've always wanted to live near there. Are there really so few churches in the vicinity? I suppose you don't know of any small colleges around that will need a Russian history professor in a year or so?
Thanks Erich. There is no shortage of churches around- We have all of the majors, most of the small ones and a few do-it-yourselfers. The exceptions unfortunately are Orthodox churches, of which there are none between Winchester and Charlottesville. We do have a few colleges around, Shenandoah University, Christendom College and James Madison University. If I hear of any openings in Russian History I will be sure to pass them on! Thanks again for stopping by.
Well, you know, it's on the Orthodox ones that count in my fantasies about living in certain areas...
I have often thought that an onion dome or two would go very well with the scenery around here. Too many Scotch-Irish baptists and methodists and two few Greeks or Russians I guess.
