This, believe it or not, is the site approved by the outgoing town council for the location of our new Wal-Mart. The Shenandoah River flows behind the trees at the edge of the field. I once described the folks in my neck of the woods as "conservatives with something left to conserve." Less and less it seems.

Oh, for shame. Can something be done to reverse the decision? Anything for a dollar, nowadays.

Wow, you have some great pics on this website. Unfortunately, it takes me forever to load it on this slow Russian connection. I'll be back in the world of wireless before too long though. I love the Valley myself, although have not been there enough. Too bad about that Walmart thing. I suppose they have to go somewhere, but you'd think they could show some discernment.
